The extraction technique plays a crucial role in achieving natural and long-lasting results. The key to a successful eyebrow transplant lies in precise and careful follicle harvesting, ensuring minimal damage and maximum viability. This requires not only the right technique but also expertise in its application.
What is the LOFT Recruitment technique?
In the LOFT technique, the number of grafts required for the person’s eyebrow is first calculated, then an area of 5 to 10 cm in length and 1 to 2 cm in thickness (the thickness and length of a pencil) is determined from the nape of the neck, depending on the need. Then, this area needs to be removed and excised by the doctor. This stage must be done by the doctor. The technician or nurse has no authority to perform this procedure. A very thin suture is used to replace the removed tissue, and the suture needs to be removed after 14 days. This technique has advantages and disadvantages.
