Eyebrow Transplant with Loft Technique
LOFT (Long Follicle Transplant) means long hair transplant. The method of extraction varies according to the person’s graft count. There are two extraction methods in this technique and the method to be used is decided according to the person’s eyebrow. In both methods, it is necessary to extract the follicles in a LONG manner. The extracted follicles are cut one by one under a microscope and turned into single follicles/grafts. After cutting, it is possible to transplant at the desired angle.
Eyebrow Transplantation with LOFT Technique
- Preparation and planning: Planning how many grafts the person needs
- Local anesthesia: Applied to the follicle area to be removed.
- Graft harvest: The planned number of grafts are harvested using the LOFT technique.
- Design: Personalized design phase according to the golden ratio of the face.
- Transplantation phase: Specially designed eyebrow transplantation phase with the LOFT technique. The procedure takes an average of 5 hours.
What is LOFT and LOFT ⁺ Graft Harvesting Technique?
These two methods are two hair follicle (graft) collection techniques developed by Dr. Sadiki.
The method of graft extraction in eyebrow transplantation is very important and is one of the most important factors that determine the result of the transplantation. The fact that the hair follicles are extracted in a long way and without damage makes this technique superior to other techniques. There are two important factors that provide this situation; the first is to use the right technique and the second is to apply the technique correctly. Therefore, graft extraction is an important stage in the LOFT eyebrow transplantation method. Being experienced in the extraction stage is extremely important.
What is the LOFT Recruitment technique?
In the LOFT technique, the number of grafts required for the person’s eyebrow is first calculated, then an area of 5 to 10 cm in length and 1 to 2 cm in thickness (the thickness and length of a pencil) is determined from the nape of the neck, depending on the need. Then, this area needs to be removed and excised by the doctor. This stage must be done by the doctor. The technician or nurse has no authority to perform this procedure. A very thin suture is used to replace the removed tissue, and the suture needs to be removed after 14 days. This technique has advantages and disadvantages.
- the procedure is done in a short time like 30 minutes
- the roots are taken as a whole
- the root separation process is done quickly and the taken roots are not left outside for too long
- the grafts are taken intact in curly hair
- psychological fear of stitching
- if not done by a doctor, it can sometimes cause headaches and infections
- difficulty in care due to stitching on the scalp
LOFT ⁺ What is the acquisition technique?
In this technique, the number of hair follicles (grafts) needed by the person is first calculated. Then, without cutting the hair from the nape of the neck, the roots are taken and collected one by one with the specially designed Manual LOFT ⁺ tool. This technique is a more advantageous technique in terms of patient comfort.
- No stitches on the nape
- Taking the roots one by one
- In those with a lot of white hair, only the black hair is selected and taken, so eyebrow transplantation can be done in those with a lot of white hair
- Fast recovery time (1-2 days)
- Long intake time (2-3 hours)
- low success rate on curly hair
